Located in Yamagata Prefecture in the Tohoku district Japan, Zao Onsen is a world famous hot spring resort. Well-known for Juhyo, the beautiful crystallized snow formations on the trees, Zao's charm extends throughout the year.
During the Spring Mt.Zao is radiantly covered in blooming alpine wild flowers. In the summer the cool breeze and soothing greens lopes of Mt.Zao provide a welcome relief from the hot crowded cities.
The Autumn finds Mt.Zao majestically colored in shades of red and yellow of the changing leaves.
White in winter Mt.Zao's sparkling white slopes burst with the colors or the merry skiers. Zao Onsen on Mt.Zao allows you to truly experience
the best of nature throughout the seasons.
Overlooking Zao Onsen, our hotel is the perfect place to experience the natural splendor or Mt.Zao. The wide windows in the hot spring bathing area provide a commanding view of the scenery, with the night view being especially enchanting. Our hotel's location near the cable car terminal provides convenient access to the upper reaches of the Mt.Zao for skiing or hiking.
Guests enjoy the utmost comfort in either traditional Japanese style rooms or western style rooms. Also located on the hotel's four floors and basement level are a meeting room, dining room, Mongolian BBQ room, lounge area and public hot spring bathing area.
For dinner, traditional Japanese dishes such as Shabu Shabu and Sukiyaki are served using the finest Yamagata beef.
After dinner guests can enjoy the entertainment at the Japanese karaoke bars.
Lodging fees are per night and include dinner and breakfast. Fees also vary between the Green season(non ski season) and the White
season(ski-season). When hosting events higher fees apply. Please make your reservations early, especially for the Western style rooms.
